ABRI TEMPO
In 2023, Camila Forteza transports a "tempo shelter" – an iconic object of the Quebec winter – to Argentina, where it becomes a symbol of the encounter between her two cultures of belonging. Deprived of its original function, it transforms into a living installation at La Boca (Buenos Aires), then in Montreal. ABRI TEMPO becomes a collective refuge, a poetic construction site inhabited by more than 70 collaborators. In the spirit of transcontinental correspondence, the project questions the construction of a home or rather, a "home for us," through displacement.
The residency hosted by the Santarcangelo Festival will allow Camila Forteza and her collaborators to continue their research around a collection of questions addressed to Abri Tempo, originally posed by Argentine artists who were unaware of the shelter-object's utility. These questions serve as a dramaturgical engine to bring two stage figures to life: Abri and Corazón, whose physicality and dynamics will be explored in an immersive space inviting the audience to actively participate.

Camila Forteza
Camila Forteza is a multidisciplinary artist, graduated from the École supérieure de théâtre at UQAM (2017). Drawing from the contrasts and intersections arising from her dual identity, she draws inspiration from her personal journey – from Quebec to Argentina – to explore the liminal space between starting and ending points. Her practice evolves in a back-and-forth between solitude and encounter, between French and Spanish, between theater, installation, photography, and video. She is interested in everyday elements that she elevates, in what is built or lost, in a dissolution of collective, physical, and imaginary borders. As an actress and creator, she has participated in several productions, including Proje(c)t; les bonnes (2022-2023), Deseo (2023), and Histoires en chemin (2024-2025). Her project Abri Tempo, initiated between Buenos Aires and Montreal, was presented at Espace Transmission (2023) and continues its development in theatrical adaptation, in residence at Théâtre Prospero (2024) and at the Santarcangelo Festival (2025).
